Zahedi date is considered as a dried date with a moisture level under 12%. It is medium-sized and oval in shape with a gold color and mildly sweet taste. Zahedi dates are grown in the Khuzestan, Fars, Bushehr, and Kermanshah provinces of Iran.
This is considered the most frequently used type of dates fruits in Iran and the majority of this product is consumed in domestic markets, but because of high-quality production growth over the last years, This type of date has been exported all over the world.
Zahedi dates are the perfect option for baking as their texture is nutty and chewy and their flavor is buttery.They can also be added to cereals, puddings, cakes, bread, cookies, ice cream, or candy bars.
